Position Overview:

Role Identifier:

The iPhone Division is in search of a dedicated Power/Analog engineer with a focus on charging technologies and interface systems, particularly in relation to power management and battery integration.

Your contributions will be vital to the engineering team as we innovate the next generation of iPhone products, taking on responsibilities for the design, execution, and integration of the charging systems.

Throughout the development phases, you will collaborate closely with various teams within Apple, including Contract Manufacturers and IC vendors. Are you prepared to take on this exciting opportunity?Key Responsibilities:

  • Architecting charging systems
  • Drafting and reviewing datasheets
  • Conducting IC design reviews and tracking issues
  • Engaging in discussions regarding charging, wireless charging, and battery system policies
  • Integrating charging systems, including schematic and layout reviews, as well as debugging
  • Resolving system issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Providing support for production testing
  • Verifying functionality and parameters in the lab
  • Offering some manufacturing assistance

Essential Qualifications:
Must possess strong electrical engineering fundamentals with a minimum of 7 years of industry experience. Relevant experience in areas such as chargers, battery gas gauges, high-efficiency DC-DC converters (including Switched Cap Converter topologies), Battery Management Units (BMU), wireless power interfaces, USB power interfaces, switching mode power supplies, linear power supplies, PMIC, and system power architecture is essential. Experience in collaborating with various engineering disciplines, including software, mechanical, and thermal design, is highly valued.

Proficiency in prototyping, bringing up, validating, and troubleshooting circuits and products in a laboratory setting is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to engage in complex problem-solving discussions with cross-functional teams are necessary.

Educational Background:
A BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with 7+ years of relevant industry experience.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, the base salary is just one component of our comprehensive compensation package, which is determined within a specified range. This structure allows for career progression as you grow within your role.

The salary range for this position is between $175,800 and $312,200, with actual compensation based on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.

Employees may also be eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards and can purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
