The LiveOn initiative is a specialized group within the iPhone Quality organization, focused on allowing unreleased products to be utilized by Apple employees in real-world scenarios, beyond controlled environments.

This role is highly collaborative, requiring close interaction with various Hardware and Software Engineering teams, Design groups, Quality Assurance, and Operations.

Responsibilities:
In this position, you will play a vital role in influencing the development of future Apple products.

The LiveOn Engineering team engages throughout the product development lifecycle, collaborating with various teams and passionate employees to test and report issues related to unreleased prototype hardware and software.


The LiveOn Engineer will be instrumental in the program's success, capturing user feedback, resolving technical challenges, conducting surveys, and enhancing tools.


  • Participate in all phases of a LiveOn program, from initial scoping and requirements gathering to execution and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to effectively gather and communicate user experience insights.
  • Monitor technical issues, working with relevant teams to ensure resolution.
  • Develop surveys and tasks to gain critical insights into user behavior and sentiment.
  • Summarize key findings and insights for cross-functional leaders and executives.
  • Manage and oversee device distribution.
  • Conduct device characterization and testing.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in Product Development and/or Manufacturing
BS degree in Engineering or Human Factors Engineering
Preferred Qualifications:
Quick to grasp new technical concepts, with a solid understanding of fundamental engineering principles across hardware, software, and customer experience.
Exceptional at fostering relationships and collaborating across diverse technologies and teams in a dynamic, hands-on environment.
Ability to partner effectively with Engineering and Manufacturing teams.
Outstanding organizational and time-management skills, capable of managing multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication skills, able to convey messages clearly and present findings to stakeholders at all levels, including executive management.
High initiative and meticulous attention to detail.
Passionate and curious, with a drive to solve everyday challenges innovatively.
Knowledgeable about product development and manufacturing processes.
Data-driven and results-oriented.
Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is just one component of our total compensation package, which is determined within a range. This allows for growth as you develop in your role. The base pay range for this position is between $151,200 and $227,600, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become shareholders through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.

Eligible employees can receive discretionary restricted stock unit awards and may purchase Apple stock at a discount through the Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
