Minimum Job Requirements:
- Physical: Capable of safely lifting 50 lbs. with or without assistance.
- Ability to stand and bend for extended periods while performing manual tasks.
Working Hours: Full-time employment (40 hours/week).

Job Responsibilities:
- Assist the department supervisor with all operations, including hands-on tasks.
- Ensure timely completion of job functions and requisition necessary supplies.
- Produce parts and products adhering to the company's safety, quality, and cost standards.
- Help schedule daily workloads and delegate tasks to employees as needed.
- Perform Lock out/Tag out procedures when necessary.
- Authorized to operate company forklifts if trained.
- Ensure departmental employees adhere to safety protocols and eliminate hazardous conditions.
- Supervise and monitor department staff, including training and resolving issues.
- Make day-to-day decisions for the department and handle administrative tasks in the supervisor's absence.
- Maintain the highest quality standards in all departmental work.
- Ensure timely output while meeting deadlines.
- Follow ISO quality systems and safety procedures within the department.
- Facilitate accurate and effective cross-departmental communication.
- Oversee inventory control systems and procedures; manage shipping and receiving of supplies.
- Ensure inventory accuracy at the end of each month.
- Adhere to all applicable operating policies and procedures.
- Maintain a monthly Scrap Log.
- Arrive punctually and be willing to work overtime as required.
- Complete tasks independently from job lists.
- Requisition supplies as needed and approved.
- Maintain a neat and organized work area.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Extensive knowledge for routine, preventive maintenance, and upkeep of equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot, maintain, and program equipment in the Coatings department.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and explain blueprints and technical manuals.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read English and use measuring tools accurately.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities.
- Capacity to assess operational needs and organize workflows effectively.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Exhibit strong leadership qualities and set productivity, safety, and quality standards for others.
Education and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience in a Coatings role.
