Role Overview
The primary objective of this position is to ensure compliance with information security standards within Divergent. This role is essential in supporting the three pillars of IT.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for all information technology security matters.
  • Design, implement, and sustain security solutions.
  • Align security practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and configurations with compliance standards such as NIST and CMMC.
  • Document security processes to a high standard that is accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify security gaps, particularly concerning compliance standards, and propose solutions to the IT Security Manager and Head of IT.
  • Manage vendor relationships for security platforms and specialists.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software development, to ensure security standards are upheld.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of deployed security solutions.
  • Act as the primary contact for security-related platforms, including email gateways and phishing training.
  • Establish and uphold Divergent's information security posture, conducting regular audits for compliance.
  • Monitor and manage security trends.
  • Advocate for operational excellence in information security, developing and distributing relevant SOPs.
  • Promote continuous improvement by regularly updating SOPs and communicating changes to all stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about the latest security best practices.
  • Educate the IT team and company leadership on security best practices.
  • Handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
  • Respond to and triage security incidents.
  • Escalate security incidents or gaps as necessary.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
  • 5+ years of experience (10 years for senior roles).
  • Master's degree in Information Security is preferred.

Work Environment
