Role Purpose
The primary objective of this position is to ensure compliance with information security standards at Divergent, a vital aspect of our IT framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact for all IT security-related inquiries.
- Design, implement, and uphold security measures.
- Align security protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and configurations with compliance frameworks such as NIST and CMMC.
- Document processes in a clear and comprehensive manner, exceeding necessary standards.
- Identify security vulnerabilities, focusing on compliance gaps, and propose solutions to the IT Security Manager and Head of IT.
- Manage relationships with vendors providing security tools and expertise.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software developers, to ensure security standards are met.
- Conduct thorough testing and validation of deployed security solutions.
- Act as the primary contact for security platforms, including email gateways and phishing training programs.
- Establish and maintain the overall information security posture of Divergent, conducting regular audits for compliance.
- Monitor and analyze security trends.
- Promote operational excellence in information security by developing and disseminating relevant SOPs.
- Ensure continuous improvement by regularly updating SOPs and communicating changes to stakeholders.
- Stay informed on the latest security best practices.
- Educate the IT team and company leadership on security protocols.
- Handle sensitive information with integrity and discretion.
- Respond to and manage security incidents.
- Escalate security issues as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience (10 years for senior roles).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Information Security.
