The Biomedical Equipment Technician III - COE is primarily responsible for working at designated locations, performing cost-efficient maintenance on both company-owned and client-owned medical devices to guarantee their proper functionality and alignment with customer requirements. This role includes conducting operational checks, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough inspections, maintenance, calibration, and repair services on a variety of medical equipment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all documentation and data entry for billing and compliance purposes.
  • Engage with clinical staff regarding equipment features and functionalities.
Qualifications Required:
  • An associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent military training or certification as a Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET).
  • Expertise in specialized equipment areas such as anesthesia, imaging, network-smart technology, and respiratory systems, along with a solid understanding of service programs and contractual obligations.
  • Basic computer proficiency and knowledge of computer networks and equipment interactions.
  • A valid and unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record as per Agiliti policies.
  • Ability to provide technical training to peers in areas such as equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and quality management.
  • Capability to temporarily supervise other biomedical personnel.
  • Willingness to travel at least 30% annually, including overnight stays, to meet business needs.
  • Flexibility to assist with field-based biomedical accounts and support inventory projects.
  • Maintain necessary credentials and vaccinations to work in various customer locations.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours as required to support a 24/7 operation.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds and perform various physical activities for extended periods.
