Position Overview:
The Neuro-Oncology Advanced Practice Nurse (APRN) plays a vital role within the Neuro Oncology Division, collaborating closely with a team of experienced Neuro Oncologists. This full-time position focuses on delivering exceptional patient care in the Inpatient Neuro-Oncology Consult Service.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and document detailed medical histories.
- Assist in providing care in alignment with facility, state, and federal regulations.
- Support patient transitions across various healthcare settings, including admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Provide educational resources to facilitate informed decision-making for patients and their families.
- Adhere to institutional policies and safeguard organizational assets.
- Collaborate with physicians to develop, evaluate, and adjust treatment plans.
- Stay informed on current healthcare trends and technological advancements relevant to practice.
- Coordinate care with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to implement effective care plans.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Manage patient call coverage, including hospital rounds and care for admitted patients.
- Deliver specialized care to individuals with neuro-oncological conditions and related complications, utilizing advanced nursing and medical interventions.
- Assess patients through interviews, examinations, and review of medical records to formulate accurate diagnoses and care plans.
- Engage with triage nurses to ensure timely responses to patient inquiries regarding medical concerns.
- Develop and communicate comprehensive care plans based on assessments and physician collaboration.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, potential outcomes, and lifestyle modifications.
- Facilitate family dynamics and coping strategies during various phases of patient care.
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress towards expected health outcomes through ongoing collaboration with the healthcare team.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing (FNP) is required.
- Strong understanding of limitations and the ability to seek guidance from supervising physicians when necessary.
