Key Responsibilities- Patient Care: Provide direct patient care, including administering chemotherapy, monitoring patient responses, and documenting patient information.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
- Education and Support: Educate patients and families on cancer treatment options, side effects, and self-care techniques, providing emotional support and guidance throughout the treatment process.
- Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to the development of evidence-based practices.
- Education and Certification: Current licensure in the state of Florida and Basic Life Support certification required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification and Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Course and Certificate preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in oncology nursing, preferably in a radiation oncology setting.
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in electronic medical records.
