Patient Services Coordinator

Penn Medicine is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, conducting innovative research, and educating future leaders in the field of medicine.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our patient services department, working closely with top clinical, technical, and business professionals across all disciplines.

As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the day-to-day planning, operations, and problem-solving for assigned areas
  • Developing and maintaining APM templates and master schedules
  • Oversight of AHIQA, running regular financial reports, and working towards reconciliation
  • Generating and running reports to monitor and coach real-time performance against pre-established expectations/metrics
  • Acting as the communication link between the group and management, disseminating information and forwarding information back up to management

You will also be responsible for:

  • Assisting staff in resolving difficult patient situations or complaints
  • Participating in the interviewing process and overseeing the training of new hires
  • Performing surgery scheduling, as needed/required by the practice
  • Providing administrative support to physicians or manager(s)
