Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Clerical Assistant to join our team at Esperanza Health Center. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing patient records, and ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk and revenue cycle processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and staff, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage patient records, including verifying eligibility, updating demographics, and collecting co-payments and past due balances.
  • Ensure accurate and efficient operation of our front desk and revenue cycle processes, including scheduling appointments, handling phone calls, and managing patient flow.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, including data entry, filing, and other administrative tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least one year of experience in customer service, medical office, or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in computer software, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position, requiring the ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The successful candidate will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
