This pivotal role within CCIBT is situated in our Platform Management team, where the selected engineer will assess, troubleshoot, and resolve intricate issues within a highly visible distributed middleware platform utilizing Java, J2EE, and .NET technologies.

The team supports applications across a diverse array of technology stacks, including Azure, PCF, Kubernetes, Virtual Machines, and Citrix systems.

As a vital team member, you will collaborate with various teams, vendors, and both internal and external business partners to evaluate and propose enhancements or modifications to existing processes to adapt to the continuously evolving technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act independently as a liaison for the line of business, addressing daily inquiries, managing problems and incidents, delivering projects, and handling escalations in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Engage with functional or operational managers to comprehend their current and future information requirements and devise plans and schedules for integrating these needs into existing operations.
  • Recommend solutions to resolve technical challenges and attain optimal levels of systems and infrastructure availability by automating platform activities to minimize manual intervention.
  • Analyze operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability.
  • Facilitate discussions on preventative measures, root cause analysis, and resolutions with service management.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, mid-level managers, vendors, and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve the highest levels of systems and infrastructure reliability.
  • Provide training and mentorship to less experienced team members on guidebook updates and lead the team to meet technical deliverables.
  • Work with development teams to revise business continuity plans and contribute to the development of new and existing support guidebooks.

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in systems engineering or technology architecture, or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military experience, and education.
  • 4+ years of experience providing monitoring tools support for applications built on JAVA or .NET platforms.
  • 3+ years of application production support experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with AppDynamics.
  • 1+ year of experience with Splunk.
  • 1+ year of experience with Autosys.

Desired Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of experience in an operations environment.
  • 1+ year of experience in risk and regulatory compliance.
  • 1+ year of experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
  • Ability to interact with all organizational levels, including management and internal customers.
  • Knowledge of system monitoring and automation.
  • Understanding of network automation development through scripting.
  • Ability to actively participate in the education, mentoring, and training of team members.
  • Experience with Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP, IBM Liberty, WAS, WebLogic, or similar products on UNIX or Linux OS.
  • Experience with monitoring tools to diagnose and prevent application issues.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Experience in leading and resolving major incidents.

Job Expectations:
  • Ability to be on call as assigned.
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule according to the time zone for the market being supported.
