Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) is on the lookout for a skilled Mobile Applications Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a vital member of an agile team, you will engage in the elaboration of user stories, design, development, testing, and deployment of software applications and infrastructure-as-code.
- Write high-quality code and unit tests, automate processes, and conduct thorough code reviews.
- Develop reusable and scalable code utilizing React Native.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and vendors to ensure seamless integration.
- Identify opportunities to leverage new technologies to address current challenges and anticipate future needs.
- Refactor code continuously, using visualization techniques to enhance concepts and drive improvement.
- Facilitate the deployment, support, and monitoring of software across various environments.
- Work closely with product managers to prioritize features for upcoming sprints and manage technical requirements based on industry trends.
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
- Foster a culture of innovation and experimentation, encouraging a fun and outcome-oriented environment.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, rapidly prototype, and execute proof of concepts.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation, coding standards, and style guides.
- Optimize application performance and quality, adhering to organizational standards and best practices.
- Manage your time effectively, working independently and collaboratively.
- Influence team members by proposing creative changes and improvements.
- Mentor junior engineers and peers, aiding their growth in technical responsibilities.
Mandatory Skills:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A minimum of 4 years of software development experience in a professional setting.
- Proven expertise in developing web and mobile applications using React Native.
- Strong command of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Familiarity with modern web and mobile development trends and best practices.
- Knowledge of contemporary API technologies, architecture, and design practices, with hands-on experience in one or more API technologies (Open API, REST, RPC, GraphQL, Micro-Services, Serverless).
- Experience in designing and building cloud-native applications, with knowledge of cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform being advantageous.
- Working knowledge of public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS) is a plus.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment tools such as GitLab Pipelines, Jenkins, or GitHub.
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
DTS provides a competitive compensation package.
