Position Overview: The role involves planning, designing, fabricating, assembling, installing, and repairing sheet metal components and products. You will interpret blueprints, sketches, or product specifications to establish the sequence and methods for fabricating and assembling sheet metal items. Responsibilities include laying out and marking dimensions on materials to create patterns or utilizing templates. You will operate various fabricating machines, such as shears, brakes, presses, forming rolls, and routers, to cut, bend, and shape materials. Additionally, you will inspect assemblies and installations to ensure they meet specifications and may monitor quality in line with statistical process controls.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and inspect titanium hot form dies and tools for production.
  • Receive, clean, inspect, and treat titanium parts for hot forming procedures.
  • Set up and operate machines like Hot Form/SPF Presses and Brake Presses to manufacture titanium components.
  • Interpret blueprints and sketches to determine the sequence of forming titanium products.
  • Plan, lay out, and repair titanium parts and products.
  • Control production machine operations according to established guidelines.
  • Adjust machine settings to fulfill tasks accurately and timely.
  • Work in extreme temperatures while handling hot components.
  • Monitor and verify part quality using various check fixtures and tools.
  • Adhere to work schedules and follow management instructions.
  • Be flexible with shift assignments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of manufacturing experience preferred.
  • Experience with hand and air tools is advantageous.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with relevant applications are necessary.
