Summary: This role outlines the qualifications for a Brake Press Operator Level I, tasked with executing production activities within a manufacturing setting.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM
- Overtime available on Saturdays
- Starting at $20 per hour, based on experience
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and utilizing personal protective equipment.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery.
- Acquire knowledge and practice inspection techniques to meet quality assurance standards.
- Notify supervisors of any equipment or part defects to facilitate timely resolutions.
- Operate machinery, including starting and stopping equipment as needed.
- Perform standard operations related to Press Brake machinery.
- Familiarize yourself with tools, instruments, and calibration devices.
- Maintain cleanliness in the production area by sweeping, mopping, and disposing of waste.
- Handle loading and unloading of materials from machines and transport devices.
- Feed or position items onto machinery for processing.
- Ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
- Label parts for identification purposes.
- Transfer equipment onto conveyor systems or containers for further processing.
- Accurately dispose of non-conforming materials.
- Interpret and read gauges for operational accuracy.
- Document relevant data as required.
- Utilize Epicor ERP for job tracking and management.
- Follow directives from team leaders and management.
- Refer to manufacturing instructions, blueprints, and visual aids to produce products that meet quality expectations.
- Assemble components accurately and efficiently according to established specifications.
- Interpret project plans and diagrams to execute tasks effectively.
- Conserve resources to maintain budgetary compliance and client satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic mathematical and communication skills are essential.
- Entry-level position; training will be provided.
