Summary: This position outlines the expectations for a Brake Press Operator Level I within the manufacturing sector. The individual will be tasked with performing production duties in a factory setting.
Work Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- 3:30 PM to 1:00 AM
- Saturday available for overtime
- Starting at $20 per hour, based on experience
- Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and utilizing personal protective equipment.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machinery.
- Acquire knowledge of inspection processes to meet quality standards.
- Report any defects in parts or equipment to management for timely resolution.
- Operate machinery, including starting and stopping equipment as needed.
- Perform standard operations associated with Press Brake machinery.
- Familiarize oneself with tools, instruments, and calibration devices.
- Maintain cleanliness in the production area by sweeping, mopping, and removing debris.
- Load and unload materials from machines, carts, and dollies.
- Feed or position items onto machinery for processing.
- Ensure compliance with specifications.
- Label parts for identification purposes.
- Transfer equipment onto conveyor systems or containers for further processing.
- Properly dispose of non-conforming materials.
- Interpret gauges and record relevant data.
- Utilize Epicor ERP for job tracking.
- Follow instructions from team leads and supervisory staff.
- Work from production routings, manufacturing instructions, blueprints, and visual aids to achieve required quality levels.
- Assemble components accurately and efficiently according to specifications.
- Read and understand project plans and diagrams to complete tasks effectively.
- Conserve resources to maintain budgetary goals and ensure client satisfaction.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Basic math and communication skills are essential.
- Entry-level position; training will be provided.
