Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance our Critical Care team. This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient care for critically ill patients within the intensive care unit and other settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care as part of a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic environment.
- Manage a 10-bed mixed medical-surgical ICU, addressing a diverse range of patient acuity.
- Act as the primary provider for emergent situations, ensuring timely and effective responses.
- Lead the adult Rapid Response team, providing urgent evaluations and treatment for various patient populations.
- Utilize strong communication skills to facilitate seamless handoffs and collaboration with healthcare teams.
- Participate in weekend shifts and a combination of day and night shifts to ensure comprehensive coverage.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Adult Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current licensure with prescriptive authority in the relevant state.
- Certification or eligibility for certification through recognized professional organizations.
- Experience in a critical care setting is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to manage complex clinical situations.
- Proficient in pathophysiology, pharmacology, and acute care management.
