Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to enhance our critical care team. This role involves providing comprehensive inpatient care for critically ill patients within an intensive care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct patient care in a high-acuity setting, managing complex medical conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Lead critical response initiatives, including the Rapid Response team, to address urgent patient needs.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans based on clinical guidelines.
- Engage in continuous communication with healthcare teams to facilitate seamless patient care transitions.
- Participate in weekend shifts and maintain flexibility with day and night schedules.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current licensure with prescriptive authority in the relevant state.
- Certification or eligibility for certification through recognized professional organizations.
- Experience in a critical care setting is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse clinical situations.
- Proficient in pathophysiology and pharmacology related to acute patient care.
