Integrative Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant to join our team at Allina Health. As a key member of our Specialty Care team, you will provide comprehensive patient care, including diagnosis, treatments, and consultations, as part of a physician/nurse team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provides Clinical Care:
- Conducts comprehensive patient assessments to determine diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physicians.
- Prescribes medications, treatments, and medical equipment as needed.
- Provides patient education on managing chronic illness or wellness care.
- Refers patients for specialty care when necessary.
- Consults with physicians when patient needs exceed scope of practice or diagnosis/treatment plan is unclear.
- Participates in Healthcare Team:
- Promotes effective communication within the team and with other healthcare staff.
- Serves as a resource to team members and collaborates with hospital staff to ensure seamless patient care.
- Participates in research activities and acts as a liaison with outside agencies as needed.
Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Integrative Medicine or Functional Medicine.
- Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required upon hire.
- Certified Nurse Practitioner - ANCC - American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) required Certification within specialty upon hire.
- ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days.
- Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire.
Physical Demands:
Medium Work*: Lifting weight up to 32 lbs. occasionally (*Allina Safe Patient Moving Policy), up to 25 lbs. frequently.
