Critical Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Position Overview:
We are expanding our critical care advanced practice provider team and are seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner or a Certified Physician Assistant to enhance our Critical Care service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver inpatient care for critically ill patients in the intensive care unit and other areas as a critical response provider.
- Collaborate with a team of over 20 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and more than 80 physicians to provide exceptional care to critically ill patients.
- Manage care in a 10-bed mixed medical-surgical ICU, providing direct patient care and coordinating with specialists as needed.
- Lead the adult Rapid Response team, offering urgent evaluations and treatment for various patient populations.
- Make rapid assessment and treatment decisions in line with established care standards.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
- Licensure with prescriptive authority through the appropriate state boards.
- Certification or eligibility for certification through recognized professional organizations.
- Experience in a critical care setting.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage diverse situations and environments.
- Proficient in pathophysiology, pharmacology, and acute care treatment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an inpatient PA or NP.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
