Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Controls Specialist to join our team at Pactiv Evergreen - North America. As an Automation Controls Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and troubleshooting automated systems to ensure their optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Continuously identify opportunities for automation and control improvements within the facility to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Manage all change control documentation associated with upgrades and ensure seamless implementation.
  • Lead small to medium-scale projects related to upgrades and control changes, providing technical guidance and mentorship to technicians.
  • Develop and introduce new processes into production, training and supporting maintenance and production team members.
  • Diagnose, repair, and replace electrical components as necessary, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest control systems and technologies, driving innovation and improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements and optimize system performance.

Requirements:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills to drive technical initiatives and mentor team members.
  • Proficiency in Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Servo Systems, Variable Frequency Drives, Human Machine Interface Controls, Industrial motion controls, and Robotics.
  • Technical degree in Industrial Automation or related field, with 3-5 years of automation technician experience.

Compensation:

$43/hour
