Role Overview
The primary goal of our maintenance team is to ensure that all equipment within the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) operates smoothly.

The Maintenance Technician II is an experienced repair professional with a strong background in RDC systems and building infrastructure.

This role requires specialized knowledge and advanced repair skills in two of the following areas:
conveyors, rolling stock, or building maintenance.

Additionally, the technician possesses general knowledge and basic repair skills in the other area outside their specialty.

In all situations, the Maintenance Technician II must have adequate electrical and mechanical expertise to safely and independently conduct repairs within the RDC.

This individual can effectively combine their technical skills, educational background, and practical experience to identify and troubleshoot equipment problems, determine necessary repairs, prioritize tasks, procure spare parts, and carry out repairs.

The Maintenance Technician II is also capable of mentoring Utility and Maintenance Mechanic I personnel while seeking guidance from the Maintenance Coach when necessary.


Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who are willing to adhere to a set schedule that may be adjusted by management based on facility needs.

Availability to work mornings, afternoons, nights, or weekends is essential, along with potential overtime as required.

On-call support is a requirement.
Candidates must be comfortable working in a distribution/warehouse setting, which includes typical physical and environmental conditions associated with such environments.
Ability to utilize tools and perform maintenance tasks requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination is necessary.
Must be capable of safely handling corrosive materials and working at heights exceeding 20 feet.
Minimum lifting capability of 25 pounds; ability to lift up to 70 pounds is required.

Essential Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Valid state driver's license
- 4 years of maintenance experience
- 2 years of experience in each of the two specialty areas
- Experience in repairing and providing technical training for standard electrical/electronic voltage systems and above
- Certification to perform work at a Senior Mechanic level, if required by local regulations
- Proven compliance with safety standards
- Ability to see objects and differentiate colors

Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or technical school graduate
- Experience and/or certification in welding and fabrication
- Certification for electrical work and/or high voltage tasks
- Experience operating various maintenance and operational vehicles and equipment
- Demonstrated ability to address equipment/system irregularities in their specialty area, thus minimizing equipment/system failures and downtime
- Experience interpreting blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents.
