Key Responsibilities

Evaluates patients and/or populations; formulates, implements, and assesses care plans; documents and communicates information effectively in both written and verbal formats. Conducts diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in accordance with established protocols and standards necessary for patient care. Acts as a clinical authority on policies, procedures, documentation, and skills, utilizing evidence-based practices. Aids in the training and development of both new and existing staff members. Participates in the work unit community by staying informed of changes, engaging in data collection or auditing, and contributing to Quality Improvement initiatives. Utilizes technology and informatics to enhance healthcare outcomes. Commits to ongoing professional development for oneself and others. Supports the division and/or specialty objectives and the Hospital's Strategic Plan.

Required Qualifications

EDUCATION: Master of Science degree or equivalent qualification.

LICENSURE: Must hold a valid Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA) license in Ohio.

CERTIFICATIONS: Must maintain national certification as an APRN in the relevant population focus for the position, or as a PA.

Physical Requirements

Note the frequency of physical activities: Constantly (100%), Frequently (34-66%), and Occasionally (0-33%) for each requirement. Include any lifting requirements with weight limits. Activities include sitting, talking on the phone/in person, typing on a keyboard, and standing/walking.
