Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Receptionist to join our team at Volunteers of America National Services. As a Receptionist, you will provide exceptional customer service, manage front desk operations, and support the facility's administrative needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Front Desk Operations: Manage the front desk, greet visitors, and direct them to the appropriate staff member or department.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to participants, staff, and visitors, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Administrative Support: Assist the Executive Assistant with managing inventory, coordinating with the maintenance department, and performing other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Emergency Response: Monitor for building safety and initiate emergency response when necessary.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with various levels of staff, participants, family members, and the public, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • Experience: Minimum one-year secretarial experience, with a minimum of one-year experience working with the frail or elderly population.
  • Certifications: Active and up-to-date certification in CPR.
  • Skills: Proficient typing, ability to independently operate computer programs, and strong communication skills.
