Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Development Executive to join our team at Access Holdings. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the expansion of our retail footprint, creating and maintaining deal flow databases, and driving tactical activities to support deal origination, negotiation, and execution.
Key Responsibilities- Drive Expansion of Retail Footprint: Develop and implement strategies to expand our retail presence through a mix of de novo store builds and add-on M&A.
- Create and Maintain Deal Flow Database: Identify potential targets, prepare company-specific due diligence reports and analyses, and maintain a comprehensive database of deal flow opportunities.
- Drive Tactical Activities: Support deal origination, negotiation, and execution through the development and implementation of tactical plans.
- Direct Project Management: Oversee the project management of site development, with a focus on near-term execution and long-term strategic planning.
- Lead Corporate Real Estate Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive corporate real estate strategy that aligns with the company's overall business objectives.
- Prepare Investment Memos and Financial Models: Develop and review investment memos, financial models, letters of intent, and report on investment pipeline activity.
- Analyze and Provide Data: Analyze and provide data to support recommendations for sale-leasebacks, acquisitions, dispositions, REIT formation, hold versus sell analysis, market studies, highest and best use analysis, or other related strategies.
- Conduct Due Diligence: Conduct thorough due diligence on potential investment opportunities, including the review of financial statements, market research, and other relevant data.
- Work with Functional Areas: Collaborate with functional areas, including finance, M&A, strategy, and operations, to underwrite investment opportunities and lead integration activities.
- Construct Financial Models: Develop detailed financial models and returns analyses for M&A and de novo builds.
- Work with Senior Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership, including the CEO, CFO, and COO, to execute mission-critical initiatives in M&A, real estate, strategy, and operations.
- MBA from a Top-Tier Program: Possess an MBA from a top-tier program or equivalent experience with a leading investment bank or management consultant.
- 4+ Years of Experience: Have 4+ years of experience at a top-tier real estate or investment firm or in a related corporate development role.
- Multi-Unit and/or Retail Real Estate Experience: Possess multi-unit and/or retail real estate experience, with a strong understanding of the pet industry.
- REIT Experience: Have experience with REITs, including public and private REITs.
- Legal Background and Capital Markets Experience: Possess a legal background and capital markets experience, with a strong understanding of negotiation processes and financial modeling.
- Eligibility to Work in the U.S.: Be eligible to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
