Job Title: AWS Operations Support Specialist with Financial Expertise

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented AWS Operations Support Specialist with a background in the financial industry. The successful candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, combined with a natural inquisitiveness and a methodical approach to problem-solving. This position demands an individual who is eager to uncover the underlying causes of system inefficiencies and is dedicated to enhancing the overall performance of our systems. While familiarity with financial operations can be developed through experience, critical thinking and meticulous attention to detail are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Support: Deliver continuous support for financial applications, ensuring peak performance and swift resolution of issues. Monitor system health, respond to alerts, and troubleshoot incidents as they occur.
  • Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve technical challenges by applying structured reasoning and root cause analysis. Collaborate closely with development teams to pinpoint areas for enhancement and execute solutions.
  • Performance Improvement: Regularly evaluate system performance and propose recommendations for upgrades. Focus on optimizing AWS environments to guarantee scalability, dependability, and efficiency.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to gather requirements and comprehend business objectives.
  • Documentation: Keep comprehensive and precise documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting methodologies. Ensure that knowledge is shared and accessible throughout the team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • A minimum of three years of relevant work experience, including at least one year in Information Technology.
  • Previous experience in financial systems and production support is highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
  • A solid technical background with experience in AWS development and operational environments.
  • AWS Developer or Architect certifications are advantageous.
  • Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Skills:
  • Ability to think critically and troubleshoot in a structured manner, identifying the root causes of technical challenges.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • A genuine passion for learning and a desire to understand the reasons behind suboptimal system performance.
