Position Overview: We are seeking a hybrid remote Financial Operations Specialist to manage both accounts payable and receivable functions. This role involves working 2 days a week in the office and the remaining days remotely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage incoming payments and vendor disbursements.
  • Oversee employee expense accounts and credit card reconciliations.
  • Ensure all necessary documentation is collected prior to vendor onboarding.
  • Verify that all vendor invoices are approved before entering them into the financial system.
  • Accurately code vendor invoices within the general ledger.
  • Generate accounts payable aging reports with payment recommendations.
  • Address vendor inquiries regarding invoices.
  • Record credit card transactions in the general ledger, ensuring appropriate documentation is attached.
  • Post daily customer payments, including checks, ACHs, and credit card transactions.
  • Reconcile daily cash activity in the general ledger with bank records.
  • Organize and maintain customer remittance and deposit records.
  • Prepare reports on overdue customer accounts and payment behaviors.
  • Communicate with customers regarding payment statuses via phone and email.
  • Maintain accurate records by scanning invoices, debits, and credits.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures for both accounts payable and receivable.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines.
  • Perform additional related duties as required.
