Position Overview: We are in search of a seasoned and adept Financial Operations Manager. This pivotal role involves overseeing the financial activities of our client, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and facilitating strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of the construction sector and demonstrate a strong capability to address its unique financial complexities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Prepare and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure adherence to GAAP and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Lead the accounting team, offering guidance and fostering professional development.
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Coordinate and prepare for external audits and tax submissions.
  • Analyze financial data to uncover trends, opportunities, and areas for enhancement.
  • Collaborate with project managers to oversee project budgets, expenses, and financial performance.
  • Provide strategic financial insights to aid in business planning and decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and financial institutions.
  • Drive the implementation of financial systems and process enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
  • In-depth knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting and compliance.
  • Prior experience in the construction industry or a related field is highly advantageous.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Viewpoint) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
