Job Overview

Position Classification: Part-time (seasonal); Monday-Friday up to 6 hours a day; $18hr.

Core Responsibilities:

Oversee, design, and facilitate engaging activities and programs for youth. Ensure the safety of participants, maintain the quality of services, and uphold the appearance of the facility consistently. Operate a bus to safely transport club members from educational institutions to the club and to various event locations, adhering to all relevant laws, policies, and regulations.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficient in interacting effectively with staff, youth, parents, community leaders, educational institutions, and religious organizations.

• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

• Understanding of youth development principles.

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is advantageous.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma/GED or higher education. 6 months to 2 years of experience in program delivery. (Compensation varies based on education and experience) with a clean driving record.

• Valid State class 'B' CDL driver's license with necessary endorsements.

• CDL Commercial Medical Examination Report.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement special events and activities aligned with core program areas.

• Plan and execute high-quality programs for youth.

• Provide mentorship and serve as a role model for club members.

• Implement curricula that correspond with program themes and events.

• Create visually appealing displays and bulletin boards to promote program areas.

• Assist in executing national projects and exhibitions.

• Inspire and mentor youth, adults, and volunteers in creative endeavors.

• Maintain records of participants, schedules, attendance, and program outcomes.

• Conduct community outreach for designated program areas.

• Collaborate with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

• Certification in First Aid/CPR is mandatory.

• Ensure the safety of children by enforcing bus regulations.

• Maintain the cleanliness of the assigned vehicle and submit maintenance requests as necessary.

• Perform pre-trip safety inspections of the bus.

• Additional duties as assigned.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

Must be capable of managing multiple projects alongside daily responsibilities. Ability to interact positively with diverse personalities while consistently demonstrating tact, maturity, and adaptability. Physical requirements include visual and auditory capabilities, standing for extended periods, and the ability to implement programs. Essential skills for success include effective communication, writing proficiency, and computer literacy.

Work Environment:

Settings include after-school and recreational environments, both indoors and outdoors. Occasional weekend and evening work may be required to support fundraising events and activities.
