Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the processing and management of customer orders, ensuring accuracy in order entry and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Coordinate and track shipments to ensure timely and accurate deliveries, communicating with carriers and internal teams to resolve any transportation issues.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in logistics and transportation management systems, assisting in the preparation and maintenance of shipping and operational documents.
  • Provide support to customer service teams in addressing inquiries and resolving issues, communicating with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving operational issues and challenges, collaborating with team members to implement corrective actions.
  • Generate and compile basic operational reports as required, contributing to the analysis of operational performance metrics.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in logistics or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in logistics, operations, or customer service is desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, effective communication and interpersonal abilities, basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Work Environment

Standard office environment, usually indoors away from the elements with moderate noise. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical Effort

Maintain a stationary position for extended periods; move about the office, operate computers and files, as needed; and frequently communicate with others. Scheduling

This is a part-time position, working variable hours as scheduled. An employee in this position must be available to work occasionally on weekends and evenings, during peak periods.

Travel

Local travel is required. Out of state travel is limited, but may be required for special training/conferences.
