Job Overview

Position Summary:
The Financial Accounting Specialist will provide essential support to the Payroll, Tax, and Bookkeeping departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Accounts Receivable processes
  • Oversee Accounts Payable functions
  • Conduct general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare journal entries for monthly and annual financial close
  • Perform bank account reconciliations
  • Assist with payroll operations, including Workers Compensation
  • Generate various cost accounting reports and analyses
  • Facilitate Individual and/or Business Tax Preparation

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or an Associate's Degree in Accounting
  • 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and QuickBooks
  • Availability to commit to a minimum of 35 hours/week during peak tax season

  • Critical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills
