The Senior Analyst for Credit and Investment plays a crucial role within the DLP Capital Credit, Risk, and Investment division, focusing on identifying and assessing multi-family investment opportunities through comprehensive analysis of revenue reports, profit and loss statements, discounted cash flow models, and various market data.

This position is responsible for pinpointing potential risks and opportunities to influence lending and investment strategies.

The primary asset classes of focus for this role include Multifamily, Build-to-Rent Residential, Outdoor Resorts, Manufactured Housing, and Self-Storage.

Strong analytical and financial modeling capabilities

Minimum of 2 years of relevant analyst experience

Expertise in advanced Excel functions and formulas

Enthusiasm for learning and a commitment to professional growth

Robust work ethic and determination

Preferred Background:
Experience in multi-family properties, debt placement, and asset management

Key Responsibilities:

Conducting thorough analysis of Acquisition, Development, and Lending transactions.

This includes, but is not limited to:
Evaluating rent rolls, profit and loss statements, reviewing and creating discounted cash flow models, performing market and submarket analyses, conducting rental market surveys, high-level deal assessments, detailed month-by-month lease-up strategy evaluations, scrutinizing construction budgets, understanding construction draws, reviewing appraisals and secondary valuations, assessing credit risk, evaluating borrower and sponsor experience, and performing SWOT analyses to identify risks and opportunities in deals.
Utilizing company tools and spreadsheets to underwrite acquisition, development, and lending transactions.

This includes, but is not limited to:

Calculating internal rates of return, cash-on-cash returns, equity multiples, debt service coverage ratios, and other critical deal-level return metrics, underwriting loan requests and associated documentation (including borrower financials, credit reports, tax returns, bank statements, REO schedules, personal financial statements, investment track records, appraisals, and property inspections).


Updating underwriting documents with findings and details from received transaction documents, extracting data from source materials, and employing DLP's analytical tools.


Contributing to the development of lending and acquisition memos, overviews, investment committee materials, and debt books, while also providing insights and participating in investment and credit committee discussions.


Demonstrating a thorough understanding of the firm's loan underwriting guidelines and pricing structures, leveraging partner credit criteria to identify ineligible loans.


Exhibiting a deep understanding of the firm's equity investment criteria and loan objectives, recognizing what constitutes a suitable investment opportunity.

Applying meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate and complete equity placements and loan funding.

Employing exceptional organizational skills to manage documentation and maintain file organization in an audit-ready state.

Developing advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formula creation and financial modeling.

Assisting the Capital Raising & Investor Relations Team, Capital Markets Team, and Asset Management Team.
