POSITION SUMMARY

The primary role of the Acquisitions Analyst is to provide essential support to the acquisitions team through comprehensive financial evaluations, industry and market analysis, and the preparation of relevant materials. This position plays a critical part in fostering relationships and facilitating the acquisition process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain an updated database of industries, companies, and private equity sponsors targeted for acquisition.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis, including land valuations, market rents, and comparable sales data to identify potential investment opportunities.
  • Collaborate with acquisition officers to compile and prepare initial financial assessments and real estate research on prospective deals, including the creation of summary spreadsheets detailing financial performance and potential rents.
  • Assist the acquisitions team in building and sustaining relationships within the net lease brokerage sector.
  • With adequate training, participate in the preliminary screening of net lease broker opportunities for potential acquisitions.
  • Support the execution of smaller lease transactions that align with the company's acquisition criteria, including preparation and negotiation of letters of intent, oversight of third-party reports, and collaboration with underwriting and legal teams.
  • Delegate more complex acquisition opportunities to senior team members for further analysis and execution.
  • Contribute to the preparation of investment packages in collaboration with acquisition officers and the underwriting team.
  • Assist in the development of pitchbooks and presentation materials for client meetings.
  • Engage in discussions with prospective clients and existing tenants as necessary.
  • Track new acquisition opportunities and maintain a list of previously considered deals in coordination with the Head of Acquisitions.
  • Monitor competitor property acquisitions and prepare quarterly summaries of these transactions for senior management review.
  • Support the closing process for acquisitions and dispositions as needed.
  • Participate in special projects as assigned.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferably in finance, real estate, or a related field, along with zero to three years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should possess strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret corporate finance concepts and develop financial models. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
