Key ResponsibilitiesAs a vital member of the executive management team, you will oversee the accounting department's operations, providing leadership and support while executing a variety of complex accounting tasks. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Managing Accounts Receivable processes such as invoicing, manual check applications, aging reports, and account reconciliations.
- Recording routine journal entries and bank transactions.
- Processing accounts payable bills and credit card transactions as necessary.
- Conducting month-end closing procedures and reconciliations.
- Investigating, correcting, and adjusting accounting discrepancies.
- Performing bank reconciliations and supporting team members as needed.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of MCI's growth objectives and demonstrate proven experience in an accounting role. Essential qualifications include:
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 1-2 years of experience in accrual basis accounting, including accounts receivable, journal entries, month-end closing, and bank reconciliations.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to engage with all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities independently.
- Authorization to work in the country where the position is based.
This role operates in a professional office setting, where the employee will primarily be sedentary, utilizing a computer and telephone headset. Occasional movement within the office may be required.
