Job Summary

Stony Brook Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our physician practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing administrative personnel, aligning goals with department administrators, and maintaining open lines of communication between physicians and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise administrative personnel and assign tasks to ensure efficient clinic operations
  • Align goals and objectives with department administrators
  • Maintain open lines of communication between physicians and staff
  • Manage office-based components, including billing and co-pay collection activities
  • Develop and implement business plans to promote the growth of the practice
  • Foster and maintain referral opportunities within the physician network
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • At least 3 years of sleep medicine experience
  • At least 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Goal-oriented and knowledgeable in strategic planning
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 or more years of sleep medicine experience
  • 10 or more years of supervisory experience
  • Healthcare supervisory experience
  • Working knowledge of IDX Scheduling and/or Cerner PowerChart
What We Offer

Stony Brook Medicine offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $75,000, commensurate with experience/education, plus applicable location pay. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 403(b) retirement plan.
