Position Summary

The Ski School Manager will oversee operations at the designated location, collaborating closely with the Ski and Ride School Leadership team to ensure smooth daily operations while prioritizing employee and guest safety, exceptional service, and financial responsibility. A thorough understanding of the location's dynamics and its integration with other resort departments is essential.

This role is pivotal in driving the success of the Ski and Ride School, the resort, and the organization as a whole.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Skier Services Director and Senior Managers to meet safety, service, and financial objectives.
  • Lead the Ski and Ride School Leadership team, demonstrating strong communication and an approachable demeanor.
  • Actively participate in the development of supervisory and coaching teams.
  • Ensure uniformity in supervisory actions, performance reviews, adherence to standard operating procedures, and guest service benchmarks across the Ski and Ride School.
  • Promote and embody the company's core values, mission, and vision.
  • Champion safety by educating staff on safety initiatives and compliance with company policies.
  • Oversee accurate scheduling of coaches to meet anticipated business levels and prevent guest service disruptions.
  • Ensure timely and precise payment processing for coaches through the digital timecard system.
  • Address service-related issues for both external and internal guests promptly.
  • Monitor guest experience quality daily and provide constructive feedback to enhance performance.
  • Evaluate the financial health of the location and implement necessary adjustments.
  • Foster positive relationships within the Ski and Ride School and with other departments.
  • Communicate observations and potential solutions to Senior Managers and the Director of Skier Services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma.
  • Proficient in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a Ski and Ride School setting.
  • PSIA/AASI level 2 certification (level 3 preferred).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Outstanding guest service abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Children's Specialist qualifications.
