Position Summary
As a Lift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe operation of a high-value machine. Your responsibilities include ensuring the safety and efficient transport of our guests and fellow team members as they navigate the mountain terrain. Experience a fulfilling season while consistently delivering an unforgettable experience.
Position Specifications
- Outlet: Various locations.
- Expected Pay Range: $21.35 per hour.
- Housing: May be available.
- Shift & Schedule: Full-time only, mid-week availability required.
- Skill Level: Entry-level.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor passenger safety while providing guidance and customer service during the loading and unloading of ski lifts; adjust lift speed as necessary.
- Operate the lift to maximize chair capacity according to operational guidelines.
- Report maintenance needs proactively to ensure optimal lift performance.
- Collaborate with the Lift Maintenance team to understand proper lift operations.
- Implement emergency protocols as necessary, including coordination with Ski Patrol.
- Perform snow management tasks, including shoveling and ensuring lift chairs are clear of snow and ice.
- Prepare the lift for operation by setting up and taking down the maze according to standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Promote our environmental initiatives by maintaining cleanliness and proper waste sorting at lift stations.
- Provide exceptional support and information to guests, acting as an ambassador for the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- No prior experience required; training will be provided.
- Ability to make quick decisions and exercise sound judgment regarding safety.
- Physical capability to assist guests, monitor lift operations, and perform snow management tasks.
- Willingness to work outdoors in a mountain environment for extended periods.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to handle high guest volumes professionally.
- Flexibility to perform various functions during peak periods.
The expected pay range is $21.35 per hour. This reflects the compensation we anticipate for this position, with individual decisions based on various factors.
