Position Summary
As a Lift Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our lift systems. Your primary responsibility will be to guarantee the safety and comfort of our guests and fellow team members as they traverse our stunning mountain landscapes. Enjoy a fulfilling season in a role that offers the chance to create memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor passenger safety while providing clear instructions and exceptional customer service during the loading and unloading of ski lifts.
- Operate the lift to maximize chair capacity in accordance with operational guidelines.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
- Collaborate with the Lift Maintenance team to understand proper lift operation.
- Implement emergency protocols as necessary, including coordination with Ski Patrol.
- Perform snow maintenance tasks, ensuring that all lift chairs are free from snow, ice, and debris.
- Prepare the lift for operation by setting up and dismantling the maze according to established standards.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Promote environmental responsibility by maintaining cleanliness and proper waste disposal at lift stations.
- Provide helpful information and support to guests, ensuring they have a positive experience.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- No prior experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided.
- Ability to make quick, informed decisions regarding safety and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Physical capability to assist guests during lift operations and perform snow maintenance tasks.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
- Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
- Ability to handle high volumes of guests with professionalism.
- Flexibility to perform various tasks during peak periods.
The expected pay range for this position is competitive and based on individual qualifications and experience.
