Position Overview:

As a key member of the Global Manufacturing & Supply (GMS) team within Zoetis Tech & Digital (ZTD), this role is pivotal in overseeing the system management and worldwide implementation of the PAS-X Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solution.

This position serves as the main liaison across all Global Manufacturing & Supply
ZTD for PAS-X and various manufacturing shop floor applications.

The focus will be on enhancing capabilities for gathering and processing shop floor data to generate insightful analytics aimed at driving cost efficiencies and improving processes.


Key Responsibilities of the MES Systems Lead:
- Spearhead global deployment teams to facilitate the configuration and rollout of the PAS-X solution to additional Zoetis manufacturing facilities, in collaboration with GMS leadership.
- Provide ongoing support for the existing PAS-X solution implemented in various locations; contribute to the development and maintenance of a core version of PAS-X for Zoetis.
- Manage SAP / PAS-X interfaces across all PAS-X sites.
- Engage with vendors for necessary support and perform hands-on technical development as required.
- Collaborate with Global Engineering to pinpoint opportunities for effective shop floor data analytics projects that align with specific business objectives, such as cost savings, process enhancement, or improved data integrity.

Problem Resolution:
- Deliver assistance to the business in response to Help Desk inquiries, Service Requests, and ad hoc requests, consistently meeting or surpassing established service level agreements.
- Identify and resolve issues while uncovering opportunities for preventative measures and solutions, exemplifying exceptional service quality.

Ongoing Business Support:

- Collaborate with internal business partners to understand their requirements.
- Actively participate with the business to identify and cultivate continuous improvement initiatives; develop business cases for such activities.
- Work alongside
ZTD application solution teams to identify, assess, and recommend IT solutions.
- Assist in defining solution scope and crafting project plans and budgets.
- Partner with Risk Management and
ZTD Compliance to implement compliant solutions (Good Manufacturing Practices, Security, Business Continuity, etc.), and liaise with internal business partners on all related
ZTD compliance activities (Validation, Qualification, Audit preparation, Continuity testing, etc.).

- Collaborate with
ZTD infrastructure support teams to identify necessary enhancements.

Solution Development:
- Create
ZTD solutions to address fundamental business-related needs for manufacturing operations that fall outside the scope of other established Global solutions.
- Engage with the business while leveraging global resources to identify and define process improvements utilizing the existing application framework.
- Implement solutions typically using commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software instead of custom development, ensuring practicality, risk management, and comprehensive scope.
- Conduct testing to validate the effectiveness of solutions; requires familiarity with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) procedures.
- Participate in efforts to educate internal business partners on the comprehensive nature of solutions.
- Serve as the primary contact for project implementations and technical solutions as needed, and may oversee the work of contract resources engaged for specific projects.

Documentation:
- Assist in creating clear specification documents, work instructions, qualification materials, and/or support and training resources; requires experience with GMP documentation procedures.
- Prepare regular reports or status updates for business partners.
