Job Overview

Position Title: Information Systems (IS) Specialist III

Classification: Exempt

Department: Information Systems

Supervisor: Director of Information Systems

Objective: To install, maintain, test, and repair IT systems hardware and software with minimal oversight. Provide technical guidance and support to address intricate issues for personnel while ensuring daily IT operational processes and documentation are upheld. Research, strategize, and implement innovative technologies utilizing formal project management methodologies. Embody the core mission and values of Arbor Financial Credit Union.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver prompt technical assistance and support for inquiries related to computer systems, software, hardware, peripherals, printers, teller, and telephone equipment.
  • Oversee user account and equipment lifecycles within a Microsoft Active Directory and Entra ID framework.
  • Manage endpoints utilizing Microsoft Intune and various management tools.
  • Provide functional direction and support to junior IT staff engaged in similar tasks.
  • May offer in-depth training and instruction to team members or groups regarding technologies.
  • Maintain IT support record-keeping systems.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with vendor technical support teams, employing necessary channels to optimize efficient support for the organization.
  • Conduct advanced technological systems support, maintenance, and testing to ensure proper system functionality; troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
  • Communicate effectively with staff in person, via phone, and through email or chat.
  • Address requests and resolve technical issues within established SLA timeframes.
  • Assist and/or lead technology projects as assigned.
  • Maintain a repository of technical solutions for IT staff and all users.
  • Help maintain records of the credit union's software, hardware, and technology equipment inventories.
  • Utilize technical skills, interpersonal skills, and abilities to foster a secure, reliable, and accurate computing environment.
  • Stay current with technology, equipment, applicable laws, regulations, standards, and systems.
  • Occasional travel to various locations may be necessary.
  • Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and requirements, along with all relevant state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Promote a positive professional image of oneself and the credit union.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Additional Duties: Perform all other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or completion of a specialized and extensive in-house training or apprenticeship program.
  • Two to five years of enterprise IT experience required.

  • Ability to sit/stand for extended periods.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform reaching, climbing, and/or stooping/bending tasks.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Occasional travel to offsite locations may be required.
  • Willingness to be on-call and work after hours as necessary.
