As an Assistant Deli/Bakery Manager at KJ’s Market, you will play a vital role in creating an exceptional shopping experience for our guests. We are a family-owned business based in the Carolinas since 1922, and we are passionate about delivering quality products and services that exceed our customers’ expectations.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Guest Service: Ensure that our guests receive polite, friendly service from our deli/bakery department hosts.
  • Sales and Inventory: Achieve budgeted sales, shrink, and profits for the deli/bakery department by maintaining desired levels of inventory and supplies.
  • Department Operations: Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs.
  • Product Quality and Safety: Maintain the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards and ensure sanitation and safety throughout the department according to Floco Foods standards.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, orientation, training, and feedback to ensure deli/bakery department hosts achieve satisfactory performance standards.
  • Additional Duties: Perform product preparation, receiving, ordering, stocking, and guest service as necessary to achieve standards, maintain department’s labor budget and scheduling standards, and perform PA announcements.


Qualifications:


  • Personality and Communication Skills: Friendly, outgoing personality, ability to work well with others, and effective communication, guest service, and selling skills.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift 25 lbs. consistently and 50 lbs. occasionally and ability to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of deli operations, ability to supervise hosts including training and development, and demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
