Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team as the Executive Director, Resident and Community Engagement. This key role will be responsible for leading our stakeholder interface, response, and engagement efforts with residents and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Execution
    • Develop, identify, and/or actively participate in activities and initiatives that encourage residents to achieve skills and opportunities that move them toward economic and lifestyle independence.
    • Provide leadership and supervision of the development and implementation of our enterprise-wide human development programs and initiatives that provide support for resident youth, adults, and seniors.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Address, investigate, and resolve resident issues and concerns, including non-compliance of Housing Choice Program and/or HomeFlex Rules and Practices.
    • Promote positive community relationships and create volunteer opportunities that engage our staff and connect them to the diverse population of our clients and stakeholders.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations
    • Build and manage strategic partnerships with nonprofit service providers to support the delivery of programs and initiatives that advance our assisted resident outcomes toward economic independence and improved quality of life.
    • Provide event and marketing support for our hosted and sponsored events.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of related managerial/leadership experience with Human Development, Resident Services, or related programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, manage, and evaluate an experienced and diverse team.
  • Thorough understanding of economic and lifestyle strategies designed to encourage and assist residents of all ages.
  • Knowledge of pertinent U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development affordable housing and related programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Masters Degree or higher from an accredited educational institution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in addition to strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks and develop/refine business processes.
