We are currently in search of a Cyber Research Program Coordinator to oversee initiatives within the Department of Defense's Army Cyber Institute.

This role will be entirely onsite at the United States Military Academy.

Work Overview The Army Cyber Institute (ACI) at the United States Military Academy conducts high-caliber research focused on the Army's paramount cyber-related issues.

The ACI aims to facilitate the exchange of knowledge among military, academic, industry, and governmental cyber sectors. These initiatives aid in strategizing for future threats and fostering collaborative efforts through established partnerships.

As the Cyber Research Program Coordinator, the ideal candidate will be tasked with ensuring effective management and coordination of research project portfolios.

This includes spearheading the planning, scoping, development, and guidance of significant research initiatives.

The role necessitates negotiating sponsor and customer requirements into a cohesive management strategy, fully aligned with all participating agencies and organizations, including various functional units within the organization.

The Cyber Research Program Coordinator will delineate responsibilities and set expectations; oversee and manage the project's budget and timeline, ensuring that commitments to sponsors and customers are fulfilled; and act as the primary liaison for each project.

They will assess project progress, evaluate performance, and implement necessary corrective measures to maintain the equilibrium of scope, schedule, and resources for each initiative.

They will also address sponsor and customer concerns and manage the ongoing changes inherent in any project. Responsibilities Include:
  • Overseeing project portfolios for the Army's Cyber Institute research initiatives, as assigned.
  • Ensuring timely and quality inputs to project awardees.
  • Creating reports, presentations, memorandums, and other administrative documents to support project execution and oversight.
  • Delivering oral reports as required by supervisors.
  • Submitting written activity reports summarizing work performed and results obtained to the COR upon request.
  • Providing an annual report summarizing work performed and results obtained to the COR within 30 days after the conclusion of each 12-month period.

Minimum Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship (required for security clearance)
Ability to successfully complete a background check and obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Management, Systems Engineering, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience
0-5 years of professional experience
Comprehensive understanding of principles, concepts, and methodologies related to life cycle management of engineering projects
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders as a point-of-contact for assigned projects
Proficiency in written and verbal communication to articulate project status, deliver presentations in public forums, etc.

Familiarity with tracking systems for inputting and retrieving relevant project information, such as budgets, task progress, and burn rates.

Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is $70,000-$90,000, based on experience.
