Position Title: Manager – Tax & Affiliated Company Accounting

Role Overview:

This role is accountable to the Director of Statutory Accounting and Corporate, overseeing the management and coordination of all tax submissions across the United States and Canada for ONE NA and its affiliated entities. The individual will also handle the daily oversight of accounting and support functions for affiliated organizations operating in North America.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stay informed and knowledgeable about tax legislation and its implications for ONE and its associated companies.
  • Analyze the effects of tax regulations in the US and Canada on all affiliated entities through technical assessments.
  • Clearly communicate ONE's tax strategies to senior leadership and external auditors.
  • Provide guidance and support to other affiliated business units regarding tax issues.
  • Review all tax filing obligations, collaborate with external service providers, and ensure timely submission of necessary tax returns and payments.
  • Coordinate corporate tax provisions effectively.
  • Assess existing finance department policies and procedures to ensure compliance with tax filing and regulatory standards.
  • Offer daily accounting support and guidance to affiliated companies in North America, including oversight of accounting-related processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with senior management to enhance departmental operations by identifying weaknesses in current processes, proposing improvements, and assisting in their execution.
  • Support corporate infrastructure and general affairs initiatives in North America.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively.

  • Highly motivated, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Specific Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of financial systems; familiarity with SAP is advantageous.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and competent in other MS Office applications.
  • Preferred experience with Google Suite.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing corporate income tax provisions; familiarity with multi-state corporate tax and indirect tax requirements is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Experience Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years in management and 5 years in a function-specific role.

Educational Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA designation is preferred.
