About the Role

As a Tax Senior at Cherry Bekaert Advisory, LLC, you will play a key role in supporting our Richmond, VA location and serving a variety of clients across multiple industries. This is an exciting opportunity to grow our expanding Tax practice and contribute to the success of our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and Preparation of Tax Returns: You will be responsible for reviewing federal and multi-state tax returns, with a focus on flow-through entities.
  • Research and Analysis: You will conduct research on fundamental tax issues using online tools and resources.
  • Accounting and Assurance Services: You will perform other accounting duties as needed in engagements and as assigned by managers.
  • Training and Development: You will train and develop Staff Accountants to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Communication and Collaboration: You will communicate effectively with managers, partners, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, with a Master's in Accounting preferred.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA certification or eligibility to work towards obtaining a CPA license.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on review experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with personal computers, including spreadsheet software programs, and experience with ProSystem fx, CCH, RIA, and/or Engagement is a plus.
