Job Overview:
We are in search of a skilled Project Site Manager to lead the construction efforts for a new chemical manufacturing facility in the City of Liberty, Greater Houston Area. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing on-site activities to guarantee the project is executed efficiently, within financial constraints, and adheres to all safety and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Site Oversight:
- Manage daily construction operations, including site preparation, grading, and utility setup.
- Work closely with contractors and suppliers to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
- Perform regular site evaluations to verify compliance with plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
Project Management:
- Engage with consultants, engineers, and architects to address design and construction challenges.
- Coordinate with utility companies for the installation of essential services such as water, electricity, gas, and sewage.
- Communicate with regulatory bodies to ensure all permits and approvals are secured.
Financial and Resource Oversight:
- Track project expenditures and manage budgets effectively.
- Prepare and present regular updates on project progress, including financial summaries.
- Oversee site logistics, including the distribution of equipment and workforce.
Quality Control:
- Establish quality assurance protocols and conduct routine inspections.
- Ensure all construction activities comply with quality standards and regulatory mandates.
- Promptly address and rectify any quality-related issues.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain comprehensive project records, including site logs, inspection documentation, and safety reports.
- Compile and deliver progress reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Organize and archive all project documentation upon completion.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Significant experience in construction management, particularly in industrial or chemical facility projects.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale construction initiatives from inception to completion.
- In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools.
- PMP certification is advantageous.
