We utilize our design-build engineering and construction expertise to help clients minimize operating costs, revitalize their infrastructure, and enhance the resilience of their facilities. Our approach combines a self-performance project delivery model with exceptional energy engineering proficiency to create, construct, and maintain the most economical and dependable solutions in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
This role serves as an entry-level opportunity in project management. The primary duty is to assist project managers in effectively coordinating projects by utilizing the necessary engineering, labor, equipment, materials, tools, and subcontracted services. This position necessitates the development of skills in estimating, scheduling, and design to gain a comprehensive understanding of the design-build construction process.
- Support field labor activities
- Provide labor feedback
- Procure equipment and subcontractors
- Manage document control
- Coordinate design, trade, and subcontractor efforts
- Assist in budget analysis, cost and margin forecasting, and project change assessments
- Contribute to the development of project timelines.
Qualifications for Success:
- Basic skills in reviewing and generating job cost reports, entering labor feedback, and processing purchase orders.
- Fundamental knowledge of HVAC design, including types of equipment used in the industry and a general understanding of system operations (e.g., variable air, constant volume, refrigeration cycle).
- Ability to interpret mechanical and plumbing drawings to accurately track installed work for labor feedback.
- Capability to prepare equipment delivery logs and monitor the status of orders.
- Proficient in general business writing and public speaking.
- Competent in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Effective communication skills to engage with vendors and suppliers for procurement, management, and updates on the submittal process.
- Ability to collaborate with field foremen to draft and track RFIs both internally with our design team and externally with architects or other designers.
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation, including CAD drawings, blueprints, and submittals.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management, with 1-3 years of experience in a related field.
- Experience working with a mechanical contractor and supporting project initiatives or as a design engineer transitioning into operations.
- Some familiarity with HVAC systems and design is preferred.
- Design-build experience is an advantage.
