About the Role:

Peirce-Phelps is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join their team as the Director of Commercial Sales. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the commercial sales strategy for our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategies: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives in the commercial market.
  • Lead and Manage Sales Teams: Lead and manage a team of sales professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded.
  • Build and Maintain Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key commercial customers, including contractors, developers, architects, and building owners.
  • Identify New Business Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to expand our market presence and increase market share.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Product Teams: Collaborate with marketing and product management teams to develop effective sales tools, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor Market Trends and Customer Needs: Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement.
  • Analyze Sales Data and Performance Metrics: Analyze sales data and performance metrics to track progress, evaluate effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Prepare and Present Sales Reports: Prepare and present regular sales reports and updates to the executive team, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards of performance.
  • Stay Current with Industry Trends: Stay current with industry trends, technology advancements, and regulatory requirements related to commercial distribution.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in commercial sales within the HVAC distribution industry.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Proven track record of success in leading sales teams and achieving sales targets. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Adaptability and Flexibility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of HVAC products, applications, and market dynamics.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel as needed.
