Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to serve as the Director of IT Workforce Development at Montgomery County Community College. This is a key leadership position that will play a critical role in shaping the College's IT workforce development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Management
    • Develop and implement comprehensive IT workforce development programs that align with the College's strategic goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with industry partners, academic departments, and other stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality IT training programs.
    • Manage program budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure effective program delivery and outcomes.
  • Industry Partnerships and Outreach
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT industry partners to identify workforce development needs and opportunities.
    • Develop and implement strategies to engage industry partners in program development, delivery, and evaluation.
    • Represent the College at industry events, conferences, and meetings to promote IT workforce development initiatives.
  • Curriculum Development and Instruction
    • Develop and maintain curriculum for IT training programs, including course design, development, and delivery.
    • Collaborate with faculty and industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and effectiveness.
    • Provide instruction and training to students, faculty, and industry partners as needed.
  • Assessment and Evaluation
    • Develop and implement assessment and evaluation strategies to measure program effectiveness and outcomes.
    • Collect and analyze data to inform program improvement and decision-making.
    • Report program outcomes and progress to stakeholders, including industry partners, academic departments, and College leadership.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Provide leadership and guidance to program staff, including instructors, coordinators, and administrative assistants.
    • Collaborate with College leadership, academic departments, and industry partners to advance IT workforce development initiatives.
    • Represent the College at regional and national IT workforce development conferences and meetings.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Masters degree in a related field, such as education, business, or computer science.
    • At least 5 years of experience in IT workforce development, program management, or a related field.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful IT workforce development programs.
    • Strong industry connections and partnerships.
    • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
    • Experience with curriculum development and instruction.
