Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development
    • Develop and implement workforce development programs in information technology, including non-credit courses, certificates, and contract training with industry partners.
    • Collaborate with industry advisors and workforce colleagues to build industry-relevant learning paths for students and content for industry partners.
  • Program Management
    • Oversee the overall operation of the Workforce Development IT programs, including planning, budgeting, and supervision of strategic initiatives.
    • Develop and manage budgets, and ensure effective use of resources.
  • Industry Partnerships
    • Develop and cultivate business and industry partnerships for specialized custom and open-enrollment training.
    • Identify and coordinate external partnership opportunities for scholarships, equipment, internships, and other student supports.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Collaborate with the Dean and other division directors on setting revenue goals, budget planning, and strategic planning to achieve the division's goals.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and industry partners.
  • Assessment and Evaluation
    • Conduct program evaluations and assessments to monitor key performance indicators of progress toward achieving the College's and the Division's goals.
    • Make recommendations for program improvement based on assessment and evaluation results.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Masters Degree with at least two years of work experience and at least one computer industry certification.
    • Knowledge of CISCO Networking Academy required.
    • 3 years or more years of experience in an academic environment in program management.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Demonstrated administrative, problem-solving, team, and organizational skills.
    • Proven skills in handling detailed tasks and multiple assignments.
    • Established interpersonal and communication skills.
