Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at University Hospitals. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing expert care to neonates in the acute phase and transitioning them to home.

This is a split/shared position within our level III-IV NICU and Stepdown unit at UH Cleveland Medical Center RB&C and community coverage in the level I-II nursery at Tripoint, Southwest General, & Ahuja Medical Centers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment: Performs patient assessment and assigns diagnosis based on recorded assessment data and current scientific research.
  • Plan of Care: Establishes plan of care and implements interventions in accordance with care paths, protocols, and standards of care and current research.
  • Clinical Collaboration: Collaborates with other healthcare providers in an interdisciplinary approach to provide care to the patient and family.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Master of Science in nursing with advanced practice certification specific to the neonatal population OR Master of Science in physician assistant studies. You should also possess current Ohio Nursing license, current Ohio APRN license, Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority, and current Ohio PA license.

A DEA license will be provided through the hospital. Strong clinical assessment and analytical skills, effective oral and written communication skills, proficiency with computers and selected office equipment, BLS and NRP provider certification, and self-directed professional with strong organizational skills are also essential.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
